The Inner Circle Experience

I started Drysdale’s Inner Circle in October 2025 with Chris as my mentor. It’s a three-month program, and I graduated in early 2026. Along the way I committed to a trading plan with my name on it, a daily loss limit, a maximum contract size, and a sentence that read “I agree to remain coachable.” I’d been trading for twenty-five years and nobody had ever asked me to commit to anything in writing. This page is about what the program actually asks of you, because the sales page is honest but it’s short.

What it isn’t

It isn’t a signal room and it isn’t a course you watch. If you want a library of videos to consume at your own pace, the Premium membership has that and it’s good. The Inner Circle is a development program. The word Chris uses is guided. That means there’s a person at the other end who knows your name, reads your homework, and notices when you go quiet.

What it asks for

  • A written plan. Instruments, hours, the setups you’re allowed to take with the context each one requires, risk per trade, a daily stop, and what happens when you hit it. Mine is two pages. It gets revised, but it doesn’t get ignored.
  • Homework. The first assignment I got was to build my own pre-market checklist and run it every session. Later assignments were drills: exercises designed to break a specific bad habit rather than teach a concept. I won’t describe them because they’re his, but I’ll say the ones aimed at impatience were the ones I needed.
  • A journal with grades. Every trade logged with the setup name, a setup grade, and whether I followed the plan. Weekly summaries and session screenshots go to a private journal channel where they get read.
  • Live classes and trade review. Weekly sessions where members’ trades get pulled apart in front of everyone. Uncomfortable the first time, then the most valuable hour of the week.
  • An accountability standard. There’s a checklist of behaviours, grouped in stages, that you’re measured against. Not P&L. Behaviours. It’s the part of the program I’d have dismissed a year ago and the part I now think is the whole point.

What it did to my trading

The honest answer is that the first two months were worse. Trading fewer setups feels like losing opportunity, and a daily stop you’ve committed to feels like a leash. What changed by month three was the journal. The execution column stopped being a row of crosses. The trades that weren’t a setup at all went from most of my losers to almost none of them. My results are mine and prove nothing about yours, so I’ll leave the numbers out. The process change is the thing I’d stand behind.

The line from a class that stuck: you’re not trading setups, you’re trading probabilities. The setups are tactics. Bias, context, and grading are the principles that decide which tactic you deploy, and at what size.

Who it’s for

Traders who already understand the pieces and can’t put them together live. That was me. If you’re brand new, read the book and take the seven-day trial first. If you’re looking for a shortcut, this is the opposite of one: it’s slower than trading on your own, on purpose.

If you’re thinking about applying, read the rest of the Inner Circle pages first. Then read it again after a bad week, because that’s the week the program is built for.
