What the execution data shows
- NQ was the clean side. #1 took 81% of its move on 1.0 point of heat, #2 took 91% on 0.25, #5 took 82% on 3.75. Three scalps, none held over two minutes, none took meaningful drawdown.
- #6 NQ short was in and out in 17 seconds for 3.25 points. Too quick for the journal to record heat or capture on it.
- #4 ES was the outlier: 6 lots, held 10.5 minutes, 1.75 points of heat, and closed for 0.25 points, a 20% capture. The largest position of the night produced the smallest win.
- #3 ES took 0.75 of a 1.5-point move (50%) on 4 lots. Both ES trades were sized bigger than the NQ trades and captured less.
Takeaway
The NQ scalps were textbook: quick entries, tight heat, 80 to 90% capture. ES carried the size but not the edge; #4 in particular was 6 lots of exposure for $56. Keep the NQ process, and either size ES down or hold it to the same capture standard.
