What the execution data shows
- #2 NQ took 16 of a 25.75-point move, a 62% capture, on 3.25 points of heat. NQ reached 31,149.75 after my exit, so roughly 10 more points were available.
- #1 ES was scaled in and out over 6 fills on 3 lots. It was down $325 at worst and up $300 at best before closing at +$137.50 gross. That’s nearly 2 hours of exposure for less than a point per contract.
- The two trades overlapped. While the ES position sat flat, the NQ trade opened and closed for five times the profit.
Takeaway
Same read, two symbols, very different payoffs, just like September 20. NQ moved 16 points in 9 minutes while ES ground out under a point in 2 hours. When the long idea is in play across both, NQ is where the edge is paying right now.
