All three were shorts. Each trade was 2 NQ: one contract in each of two Apex accounts, copied. Gross +$1,280.00, commissions −$18.60.
What went right
- Almost no heat. Trades 1 and 2 never went a tick against me. Trade 3 took half a point.
- Clean capture. I kept 100%, 94% and 88% of the move while I was in each trade. That’s 94% on average, the best in my journal.
- I stopped at three. After trade 3, NQ turned and ran about 90 points higher by 9:45 PM. I wasn’t in it.
What I left
The move kept going after every exit: about 14 more points after trade 1, 4 after trade 2 and 10 after trade 3. I took 32 of roughly 60 points on offer.
Next session
When the entry is this clean, I’ll leave one contract on as a runner. Once the trade is working the risk is close to zero, and the runner collects some of the continuation.
