What the execution data shows
- #1 sold ES at 7,713.25 at 8:40 PM, into a rally that had run 20 points in 16 minutes, from 7,695.75 at 8:22 to 7,716.00 on the 8:38 bar. Price stalled: 40 minutes between 7,707.00 and 7,715.25, and the 9:02 low of 7,707.00 was 6.25 points of open profit that was never taken. The 9:20 and 9:22 bars ran to 7,721.25 and the stop went at 7,719.75 at 9:23 PM. −$656.20 on the pair, the only red of the night.
- #2 bought the pullback at 7,716.75 at 9:30 PM, seven minutes after being stopped on the long side of the same level, and added at 7,715.25 at 9:33 near the 9:32 low. That is the bias flip the last two nights were about, done inside seven minutes instead of twenty-three.
- One lot came off at 7,723.00 at 9:45 PM. The 9:44 bar’s high was 7,723.00. That was the high of the window, sold to the tick. The lot went back on three minutes later at 7,714.75, as the 9:48 bar dropped six points, and the position was two lots again at an average of 7,715.00.
- Then 49 minutes of chop between 7,712.00 and 7,717.25, and the exit was a 4-lot sell at 7,712.50 at 10:37 PM, which closed both longs for −5.00 points combined and opened a 2-lot short at what was, at that moment, the bottom of the range. The 10:38 bar broke to 7,710.25, and from there it was 7,709.00, 7,708.25, 7,707.50, 7,706.25. Covered at 7,708.50 (10:47) and 7,706.25 (10:56). Long leg +1.25 points, short leg +10.25, +$1,119.00 on the pair.
- #3 and #4 were NQ scalps on the eval pair after a 72-point rally from the 11:20 low. Short 28,288.75 at 11:37 PM in the bar after the 28,301 high, the 11:38 bar dropped 27 points, cover at 28,281.50 for 7.25 of it. #4 shorted 28,266.25 at 11:41 and scratched 25 seconds later at 28,265.00. The 11:42 and 11:44 bars then ran 66 points to 28,332.75, so the scratch was the right call, not a timid one.
- #5 and #6 were the PA account, 2 lots each, after that rip reversed. The 11:50 bar had already fallen 42 points from 28,316 to 28,274 when #5 sold 28,276.25 at 11:52 PM and covered 28,271.50 five seconds later. #6 sold 28,272.25 and covered 28,268.50 after 42 seconds. Both lived inside the 11:52 bar’s 28,265.75 to 28,280.00 range. +$327.60 for 47 seconds of exposure.
Takeaway
The night turned on two decisions. The first was flipping from short to long seven minutes after a stop-out, at the level that had just stopped the short; the last two sessions took much longer to let go of a bias and paid for it. The second was the 4-lot exit at 10:37 that closed the longs and opened the short in one order, the same stop-and-reverse that made Monday’s encore. Selling the top tick at 7,723 was luck of the fill, but putting the lot back on at 7,714.75 three minutes later was not. What is still open: #1 had 6.25 points of profit for 40 minutes and gave it back plus 6.5 more, and the week’s pattern is that the losses come from waiting on a wrong read, not from the entries.
