Bookmap Liquidity Tracker: the whole order book in two lines

The Bookmap Liquidity Tracker is an add-on that adds up the bid and ask liquidity across the whole order book and draws it, now and over time, as lines in a sub-chart with an imbalance reading. Liquidity Tracker Pro filters the book by order size, so you can watch the big resting orders and ignore the confetti.

The heatmap shows me where the size sits. The Liquidity Tracker tells me which side of the book is getting heavier while I’m staring at one price. I needed both, because I can only stare at one price.

Which plan: the Liquidity Tracker itself is free. Liquidity Tracker Pro comes with Global Premium (in the MBO Bundle) or costs $39 a month on the Bookmap Marketplace, and its MBO features need Market-by-Order data: BookmapData CME or Rithmic MBO.

Liquidity Tracker Pro is in Global Premium or $39 a month on the Marketplace. If you want the heatmap first, the Global Plus offer ($147 for the first quarter) is the cheaper start. Prices checked 7 November 2026. Try Bookmap free first (the free tier is a look at the software, not live futures).

What does the Bookmap Liquidity Tracker draw?

Three lines in a sub-chart: total ask liquidity, total bid liquidity, and the imbalance between them, with the current values in the widget panel. Closer and more recent orders weigh more. A half-life setting (Bookmap calls it market depth) decides how fast older orders fade.

It recomputes the moment you change a setting, back to when you subscribed to the instrument. That matters more than it sounds: you can tune it on the morning you’ve already had.

How I read the Liquidity Tracker at my levels

I treat it as the mood of the book, not a signal. When price comes into my level and the bid line is climbing while the ask line thins, the wall under me is being reinforced. When the bid line drops as price arrives, someone is leaving the party early, and I’d rather not be the last one there.

The size filter is why Pro is on my screen. Filter out the small orders and the lines show what the large players are doing with their resting size, which is the part I can’t see by eye on a busy heatmap.

Like everything on this screen, it can talk me out of a trade. It doesn’t talk me into one.

Settings worth knowing

  • Order size filter: the minimum and maximum order size that counts. Set it above the noise on your instrument.
  • Market depth: the half-life of each order’s weight. Lower for the last few minutes, higher for the bigger picture.
  • Enable MBO: uses Market-by-Order data where the exchange publishes it.
  • Smooth lines: easier to read, slightly less exact at any single point.

Questions people ask

Is the Bookmap Liquidity Tracker free?

The basic Liquidity Tracker is free. Liquidity Tracker Pro is part of Global Premium’s MBO Bundle, or $39 a month on the Bookmap Marketplace.

What data does Liquidity Tracker Pro need?

Market-by-Order (MBO) data: BookmapData CME or Rithmic MBO. Some exchanges don’t publish MBO, and there the MBO option stays off.

How is it different from the heatmap?

The heatmap shows liquidity price by price. The Liquidity Tracker adds it up across the whole book and shows which side is gaining, as a line you can read in a second.
