Scott’s List · prop firm review
The short version. A futures prop firm with two evaluation tracks, Growth and Select, an instant-funded Lightning option, end-of-day trailing drawdown on every plan, and a 90% profit split once funded.
Evidence level: Researched; my own notes to follow.
What it is
Tradeify is a futures-only proprietary trading firm. You pay a one-time fee for a simulated evaluation account, hit a profit target under a drawdown rule, and graduate to a simulated funded account that pays real money on the profits you make. Their pitch is choice: a cheap Growth path with fewer rules during the evaluation, a Select path with a lower daily limit and a consistency rule, and Lightning Funded if you’d rather skip the evaluation and pay more up front.
The facts at a glance
- Two evaluation tracks, Growth and Select, plus Lightning Funded (instant simulated funding) at a higher price.
- Account sizes from 25K to 150K; Growth evaluations start around fifty dollars on the 25K and run to a few hundred on the 150K.
- End-of-day trailing drawdown on every plan, which is the friendlier kind: it moves once a day at the close, not tick by tick.
- Select applies a best-day consistency rule during the evaluation (your best day capped at a share of total profit); Growth applies one only once funded.
- 90% profit split to the trader on funded accounts; payouts on a fixed cadence with minimum profit thresholds.
Figures are as published at the time of writing and change without notice. Read the current terms on the company’s own site before you pay for anything.
How it fits the VWAP Wave System
End-of-day trailing is the drawdown model a discretionary system can live with, because an intraday pullback through your entry doesn’t move the threshold against you. The consistency rule is the thing to plan around: the VWAP Wave System produces occasional large A-grade days, and a best-day cap means one great trend day can push your target higher instead of finishing the evaluation. Trade Growth if you want the evaluation to reflect the system as it is; trade Select if you want the discipline of size-capping built in.
Scott’s notes
This section is mine to write and I’d rather leave it short than pad it. My own experience with Tradeify, what surprised me, what I’d warn you about, and the rules I trade it under are coming here. Until then, the facts above are public and the fit section is my read as a VWAP Wave trader.
Verdict
Provisional, pending my own notes: a sensible structure for a system trader, especially the end-of-day drawdown. Read the consistency rule twice before you choose a track, and size so that no single day can breach it.
