  • NQ and Gold Perfect, ES Ends the Streak

Twelve shorts, net +$2,342.28. NQ went five for five and gold two for two. ES chopped while they trended and took three small losses, ending the 27-trade run. And for the third night this week a short was added to while it ran against me.

  • Seven shorts, seven winners, net +$755.30 and twenty-seven straight. The read was excellent: NQ fell 65 points from where I first shorted it. I collected the move in pieces of under five points, and three late scalps took more heat than they made.

  • Twenty Straight, and a Habit to Watch

Four longs, all closed before NQ dropped about 100 points, net +$1,662.80 and twenty straight winners. The smallest trade made the most. The one to watch was averaged down, and the add is what made it green.

  • Four longs into the Sunday open rally, all winners, net +$2,397.10, and sixteen straight across five sessions. The best trades were quick and nearly heat-free; the biggest ES size again earned the least.

  • The Model Trade and the One That Got Away With It

Two NQ shorts from the same zone, net +$3,265.20, twelve straight winners. The first was textbook. The second made the most money and was the riskier trade, because contracts were added 30 to 40 points against the first fill.

  • Ten in a Row, and the Edge Moves to the Exits

Four shorts in one hour, all winners, net +$1,150.80, which makes ten straight across three sessions. Heat stayed tiny all night. The one to study is the first NQ short, which took 25% of an 18.75-point move and then watched NQ fall another 28.

  • Tight Entries, Twice in a Row

Three longs across ES and gold on a Sunday night, none of them more than 0.75 points underwater, 86% average capture, net +$1,963.72. The second straight session of near-perfect execution, and both nights the market kept going after I left.

  • The Cleanest Night in the Log

Three NQ shorts, eleven minutes in the market, almost no heat and a 94% average capture. Net +$1,261.40. The only thing left on the table was the continuation, and then the market turned without me in it.

  • Three NQ Shorts, Almost No Heat

Three NQ shorts in the Globex session, all winners, with half a point of heat at most. I stopped at three, and NQ turned and ran 90 points higher without me.

  • Ninety Good Minutes, One Bad Hour

Seven winners out of ten and still a losing day. The first 90 minutes of the cash session were excellent; one ES long held for an hour near the highs gave it all back and more. Without that trade the day is +$658.40.
